In Agile methodology, a sprint is a time period during which a group of specific tasks must be completed and made ready for review. Sprint cycle refers the timeframe those tasks are to be completed it. Sprint planning is essential for prioritizing work to be completed and how much can be realistically achieved in that timeframe.
Overage is work time that exceeds the number of hours paid for that month. If your plan allows for overage then you can exceed your plan by the number of hours listed at no additional cost. Please note this is reserved for planned sprint work only that takes longer than expected, it cannot be utilized for added work. Overage hours cannot be carried over to another month.
A specified amount of paid hours that go unused may be rolled over to another month if your plan allows. Sometimes sprint tasks take less time than planned or tasks get cancelled. Backlogged tasks will be worked on to fill the remaining hours or hours will be rolled over to the next month.
Note: Hours can only rollover 1 month forward. Hours rolled over are used first in the following month.
